Creation of the Fruitière Vinicole d'Arbois on 04th January under the impetus of 31 Arbois winegrowers, one of the first cooperative wineries in France. This project was initiated in the wake of the phylloxera crisis, with the aim of resisting competition from low-quality wines of no origin. Determined to offer its customers the very best Jura wines, the cooperative chose to pay its winegrowers according to the quality of the grapes they brought in, through a strict selection process.

Arbois to host the Percée du Vin Jaune 2024
The site of Château Bethanie includes the winery, with its pressing, vinification, bottling and ageing facilities, as well as the staff offices in the château, and Maison 1906, a reception area for tours and tastings.
In 2005, the Fruitière Vinicole d'Arbois merged with the Caveau des Jacobins in Poligny. Since 1907, this cooperative had been established in a former 13th-century church (l'Eglise des Jacobins). This is a unique example of a wine cellar in a site as historic as it is prestigious. Since 2022, the church has been returned to the town of Poligny and our wine is no longer aged or sold there.
